KING KHAZM – “DisABILITY” (MadK Productions)
King Khazm of Seattle, Washington is one of the busiest people I have ever met. He does not operate under the guise of the words, ‘can’t’, ‘too hard’ and ‘impossible’. He defies all odds and is committed to pursuing heightened standards in life and his endeavors.
Not only is he the founder and former head of The 206 Zulu Nation (Seattle’s flagship Zulu chapter), but he is also a business man (MadK Productions), artist (MC/Producer/Graf/Knowledge Seeker), Radio Producer (Zulu Radio on KBCS 91.3 FM – Bellevue) and Television Director/Producer(Hip-Hop 101 formerly airing on Seattle SCAN Ch. 77) and mediator among his communities affairs. This is all good and well, his mighty deeds in the communty on behalf of others. Some people can even compare resumes, but the tasks are that much more appreciated when realizing that King Khazm has been wheel-chair bound and/or without the ‘ability’ to walk since he was a small boy, following a dangerous car accident… Which, however damaging, never stopped the admired B-Boy from moving.
With his latest video, “DisAbility” from his recent release, Diary of a MAD, he delivers conscientious Hip-Hop with boom bap beats, thought-provoking lyrics, a message about the so-called ‘disabled’ and social commentary. Here is a sampling of Khazm’s latest work.
