Emerald City Adult Prom Forever Young – Now it’s Never Too Late to go to the Prom!<\/h2>\n

“Refreshing”.  That was the word used by one couple to describe the 1st Annual Emerald City Adult Prom (Forever Young) held last night (February 18th, 2017) at the DoubleTree Hotel Ballroom<\/a> in SeaTac.  “I mean, it is refreshing and fun to dress up for a night out of dancing and fun with other like minded couples and singles”. <\/p>\n

This was the overall feedback on the event that hosted over 300 well-dressed attendees who snapped pics, enjoyed cocktails, complimented each other, as they danced the night away.  DJ Kun Luv<\/a>, aka the NW ICON, provided the soundtrack with a live music interlude from Caety Sagoian<\/a> and her Band.  “I loved the slow songs and just everything!”, said, Kenya Bostic.  “Being that neither of us went to prom…tonite was nice!… I could tell it meant a lot to him..which made tonite one of the best moments in our relationship!”  <\/p>\n

While the Emerald City Adult Prom is a new event, the concept is not.   Portland and Tacoma, both hosted Adult Prom’s prior to this and many have talked about producing one, but it has not happened until now.   That’s’ where Jamar Jones<\/a> aka JamarVIP came in.  “I have been wanting to do something upscale and classy for a long time, and I finally moved on it” says Jones.  Known for his collaborations on such events as the Annual White Party at the Parlor, 2016 was the year for Jones to go it alone where he promoted several local cruises and a successful 1st Friday monthly series<\/a> at the Stone Lounge<\/a> in Bellevue.  <\/p>\n

Elite Fotobooth<\/a> captured the evening with their excellent photo booth that offered 4×6 prints onsite but also packages similar to a high school prom.  Check out the album below. <\/p>\n

DJ Kun Luv who has been a staple at high school proms over the past 20 years, was clearly the best choice to get this intergenerational crowd out on the dance floor.  The crowd ranged in age from mid 20’s to late 50’s and so did the soundtrack.  By playing songs like Trey Songz’s “Slow Motion<\/a>” to DeBarge’s “I Like It<\/a>“, it was no surprise that many couples stayed on the dance floor gazing into each other’s eyes singing to each other.  “There is nothing like a well dressed, drama free crowd packing out a dancefloor on a line dance like the Cupid Shuffle or the Wobble!”, says Kun, ‘ I just love it!”  <\/p>\n

Definitely billed as a successful event, at this point everyone is waiting on their pictures to come back (just like in High School), and checking for the 2nd Annual Emerald City Adult Prom.  <\/p>\n
