\u00a0\u00a0This past week we were able to view a deeper look into Pixar\u2019s 27th featured film, <\/span>Elemental.<\/span><\/i> Disney\u2019s Pixar has been able to show us how different types of objects and people feel. Some examples are the <\/span>Cars <\/span><\/i>franchise, which expresses how cars feel. <\/span>A Bug\u2019s Life, <\/span><\/i>which expresses how bugs feel. Now we get a look at how different elements feel. I believe that the movie will get children and adults thinking about how we treat each other, just as it did in 2016\u2019s <\/span>Zootopia. <\/span><\/i>Within <\/span>Zootopia<\/span><\/i> we learn not only about the injustice of the predators but also get a little light shined on police brutality and some racial situations that we see in our everyday lives. From just the trailer, it seems as though we are getting another sweet love story. We meet <\/span>Wade, <\/span><\/i>a water element trying to find more out of life, while <\/span>Ember, <\/span><\/i>a fire element, has come to terms with her life. Taking over the family business and following in her father\u2019s footsteps. But when the two meet, we can tell there is a friendship brewing, or maybe something more. From what we can see based on the trailer, we see Wade bringing Ember out of her comfort zone and outside her home for the first time ever. It is clear that Ember\u2019s family does not approve but Wade\u2019s family does. His family shows not only a softer approach when meeting Ember but also shows kindness. Whereas from what we can briefly see, Ember\u2019s family tries to burn Wade with the spiciest, hottest, meal on their menu, believing that because he is a water element, he won\u2019t be able to handle food that is deemed too spicy. I believe this movie will be able to show not only children but adults as well that regardless of our differences, we should be able to treat each other with kindness and respect. Right about now, more than ever, is what we need for not only this country but this world! As mentioned earlier, it was clear the themes that Disney used for <\/span>Zootopia<\/span><\/i> were to touch some of those uncomfortable subjects, but a lot went over children\u2019s heads. During that time in 2016, critics expressed that the movie was towards adults more than children, making it difficult for them to follow. Causing more confusion about the movie versus starting those necessary conversations about how negative society can get. Unless knowing the details of animals and how they operate, younger children won\u2019t fully be able to understand the correlation with everyday situations. My theory for <\/span>Elementals<\/span><\/i> currently is that we\u2019ll be able to view some situations that were mentioned in <\/span>Zootopia<\/span><\/i> more clearly. Helping children and younger aged children understand that we don\u2019t have to treat each other differently just because we look different or our cultures are different. <\/span>Elementals <\/span><\/i>is set to release in theaters on June 16th and should be a great experience for children and adults alike.
