This Saturday Night The Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) will be hosting its annual Through the Eyes of Art<\/a> for the 10th year in a row.\u00a0 This celebration of\u00a0 Black History Month will feature artists, community leaders, and tastemakers coming together to honor Black style.<\/p>\n

Kahlana Barfield Brown<\/a> will be the featured guest at the event.\u00a0 \u00a0She is a Garfield High School graduate who was previously an editor at Instyle Magazine and currently has a nationwide fashion line with Target.\u00a0 She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.<\/p>\n

The fashion portion of the event will feature designs from six Black fashion designers from the Northwest.\u00a0 \u00a0These designers will focus on the Brilliance which is Black Style.\u00a0 \u00a0It is well known that Black Design from Tribal Patterns to\u00a0 NYC Streetwear has contributed to the culture globally and continues to do so today.<\/p>\n
